There are several ways to determine your own Enneagram personality type. One option, the one we recommend, is to complete a self-scoring test in the section Take the Questionaire, then read the descriptions of the two or three types on which you have the highest scores to identify the one you most relate to.

The Enneagram Institute of Central Ohio offers an Enneagram Type Discovery Service for those individuals who are unclear about their type. Determination is made through the assistance of the complete Riso-Hudson Enneagram Type Indicator and coaching.  For more information, please contact Connie Frecker at cfrecker@columbus.rr.com.

Also, you can ask people who know you well to read the descriptions of the nine types (found below) and then tell you which type they think you might be. Sometimes other people see us more clearly than we see ourselves.

A third possibility is to read through the list of type characteristics at the beginning of each chapter in Wisdom of the Enneagram, checking the statements that apply to you and determining which type has the highest score.
