The EIOH Applied Professional Certification Training Program is online and involves three-weekend workshops, two essays, and one interview for a total of 53 IEA (International Enneagram Association) credit hours. The prerequisite is the Wisdom of the Enneagram AWTP workshop or reading The Wisdom of the Enneagram before the final certification interview. These workshops are repeated annually, and completion of the certification program can be done in nine months. A student may join the rotation of courses at any time, but we recommend beginning with The Wisdom of the Enneagram or the Relationships Workshop, which are offered twice a year. The cost of the certification program is the price for each workshop, and the application fee is listed below.
This training program is accredited by the International Enneagram Association.
Courses involve interactive components such as inquiry exercises in breakout groups with large group debriefs, panels, meditation, music, and sensing practices for an embodied and experiential understanding of the Enneagram. Students also receive a generous selection of handouts to supplement this comprehensive education.
This program provides a solid Enneagram foundation to support participants’ use and application of the Enneagram in their life and profession.
I. Prerequisite: Wisdom of the Enneagram Workshop or reading the Wisdom of the Enneagram by Riso & Hudson throughout the certification year.
II. Completion of the three Authorized Riso/Hudson Enneagram Workshops with EIOH as listed below:
A. The Enneagram and Relationships Workshop
B. The Enneagram Instincts (subtypes) Workshop
C. The Journey of Growth Workshop
III. Completion of the following two essays:
Essay 1. Describe how you are experiencing your Personality Type and include all of the following: (1500 word minimum)
* What convinced you that you are that particular type? What other types, if any, have you (or significant others in your life also thought you might be and why?
*Your experience of your Type’s Basic or Secondary Fears and Desires, Wings, and Instinctual Stack. Also, please describe the Arrows and Dynamism, which means the gifts and shadows of both of your arrow points.
* What is your greatest type-related challenge and asset?
Essay 2. How do you plan to apply your understanding of the Enneagram and its gifts to your profession? (no word minimum)
IV. A Certification Discussion/Interview, either in person or virtual.
Non-refundable certification application fee following the completion of the workshops ($250.00).
Applicants should submit this fee when submitting their essays, along with the dates of the workshops they attended, on a cover page. We will schedule an interview shortly after reviewing and approving the essays. Completing our certification program must occur within five years of your first workshop. After that, we would request you take the Wisdom of the Enneagram workshop to remain up to date.
Upon successful completion, you will be granted certification as an “Applied Enneagram Professional” through the Enneagram Institute of Ohio, and the hours can be applied to the International Enneagram Association’s professional designation.
